LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY
OzTec Shock Absorber
(Applies to OzTec Shock Absorbers only. For all other products refer to standard warranty terms)
Who is covered by this warranty?
The original Retail purchaser of the goods is covered.
You must be the original retail purchaser of the OzTec shock absorber and still own the vehicle on which the shock absorber was originally installed. OzTec suspension warrants the original retail purchaser against functional and/or material defects of the OzTec shock absorber. This does not include incorectly fitted goods and or goods fitted that do not suit the application.
How to claim under this warranty:
An OzTec Warranty Assessment form is available by clicking the link above on this page (or obtained by contacting OzTec Customer Service on Ph 07 3808 4698 for a copy) must be completed and forwarded with a copy of proof of purchase to the stockist you purchased the goods from.
What are your obligations?
It is the original retail purchaser’s responsibility to retain proof of purchase which must show date of sale, vehicle speedo reading and registration number for validation of purchase. Warranty will not be considered without proof of purchase and a fully completed Warranty Assessment Form. You may be required to send the claimed shock absorber to OzTec Suspension for inspection.
What OzTec will endeavour to do
Upon receipt of a fully completed Warranty Assessment Form and proof of purchase, OzTec Suspension will replace any Ozec shock absorber deemed faulty with a new shock absorber. Note: If one (1) shock absorber is faulty, only that unit will be replaced. OzTec will neither remove nor install and will not pay for the removal or installation of the shock absorber under the terms of warranty.
Warranty exclusions
This warranty does not cover any OzTec shock absorber which has been:
- Subjected to fair wear and tear including but not limited to stone damage to shock absorbers.
- Used for rally, off road racing or any other competition motor sport use.
- Modified, altered or subjected to abuse, negligence or accident damage.
- Improperly installed or installed in any vehicle for which it was not designed or catalogued.
- Presented for warranty by one other than the original retail purchaser.
- Bushing that has been incorrectly fitted.
- Subjected to wear and tear as a result of incorrectly fitted or missing bump stops.
- Consequential damage, loss of time, loss of vehicle use, incidental damages, labour costs and freight to and from OzTec Suspension are not covered by this warranty.
- Incorectly fitted items to match the cars modifications as a 4wd with extra weight fitted may take different part numbers for the application
- PLEASE NOTE: Rental and other commercial use vehicles are excluded from “Lifetime Warranty” but are covered for 12 months with unlimited kilometres.
Standard Warranty Terms
(Applies to catalogued products other than OzTec Shock Absorbers)
Who/What is covered by this warranty?
OzTec Suspension on behalf of the product manufacturer, warrant the catalogued products detailed below against functional and/or material defects of the product to the extent listed.
Coil Springs: Limited Lifetime for the original purchaser against faulty manufacture, breakage or sagging (being loss of free height of more than 10mm)
Leaf Springs: 12 months for the original purchaser against faulty manufacture, breakage or sagging (being loss of free camber of more than 12mm)
Polyair: 12 months/20,000km for the original purchaser against faulty manufacture.
Bilstein: 12 months/20,000km for the original purchaser against faulty manufacture.
KYB: 3 year/60,000km for the original purchaser against faulty manufacture.
All other products: 3 year/100,000km for the original purchaser against faulty manufacture.
How to claim under this warranty:
An OzTec Warranty Assessment form (which can be found on page 146 of this catalogue, or obtained by contacting OzTec Customer Service on Ph 07 3808 4698 for a copy) must be completed and forwarded with a copy of proof of purchase to the stockist you purchased the goods from.
